A loop from Ljubljana past Polhov Gradec to Škofja Loka

This cycling loop is one of the most popular road cycling routes in the Ljubljana area. It starts in Ljubljana and heads west into the Polhov Gradec Hills, where the road gradually begins to climb through a rolling landscape of forests and small villages. After Polhov Gradec, the route continues across a gentle pass toward Škofja Loka, one of the best-preserved medieval towns in Slovenia. The return to Ljubljana follows a similar rhythm, combining short climbs, descents, and flowing sections through the countryside. The route is ideal for training rides, offering a balanced mix of climbs and flat sections, while still remaining quiet and safe enough for longer recreational cycling.
