Red Bull Goni Pony

Red Bull Goni Pony is one of Slovenia's most unique cycling events, held annually on the iconic Vršič mountain pass in Kranjska Gora. Participants take on the challenge of climbing one of the most scenic roads in the Julian Alps — on classic Pony bikes from the 1965–1985 era, with no gears, no carbon, and a mandatory retro outfit to match. Now in its 12th edition, the 2026 event is already sold out, a testament to its cult status among cyclists and spectators alike. If you're planning a cycling trip to Slovenia in early June, Vršič Pass is the place to be.
